Ruean Thai Cuisine

After reading the Google reviews, decided to to order take away for lunch. Worst decision ever 😔🤮 We ordered the Massamun Curry, Fried Rice and Noodles with Veggies, the Food was tasteless and cold. I would probably rank this as one of the worst Thai food places... as a general rule Thai food is flavoursome and spicy. Also, the spring rolls had some weird black stringy filling 🤔 Save your money and grab lunch else where - oh and don’t trust the good reviews here - definitely false ones

We are pleased with the customer services, foods, and atmosphere at Ruean Thai Cuisine. This is second times we have been there and we love it. I especially love the pud Thai Prawns noodle and lovely special cocktails made by Ying (owner). we will definitely come back and bring a lot of friends to experience this lovely inner Thai restaurant on Melbourne street.:)

Went here last nigh we buy Groupon at the restaurant with 6 people and 2 babies they gave us bigger table than one reserve because of babies very nice of them. Entree very big and fresh hot food peanut sauce very nice and real thai we got 6 main dishes and it it is very high! Very bigger portion fresh seafood too much food we could not finish they gave us ice cream take home. Good cocktail very strong must try

Bad experience with a Groupon. Purchased a 4-person dinner voucher and while the entrees were good; the serving portions for the main was utterly disappointing!! The prawn stir-fry came with only 3 pcs of prawns, which wasn't even enough for 1 prawn per person, and they told us they didn't have any fish when we wanted to order. The green curry looked like watery soup, and it was hard trying to find any chicken in it. When we asked the staff, he told us the 3 prawns isn't their standard serving, but because we used a Groupon, they had to reduce the portion size especially for the seafood dish. That is not fair! Anyway after much discussion, the staff finally agreed to recook the dish in their standard serving portion for us. The recooked dish was SO much better, portion wise, the ingredients, and even the taste, it was actually a good Thai dish. If only they served us like their other normal customers, without compromising on the quality of their food, this would have been a totally different experience. I just don't understand why a business would market themselves on Groupon but give such a bad experience to Groupon users. That won't earn them any returning customers and also ruins their own image for a new business.

Ordered the Thai Green Curry from here.. 4 hours later was on the toilet. Haven’t had food poisoning in many years until now. Still 24 hours later I haven’t been able to stomach any food. Serious questions raised over the food safety and handling practise. Simply not worth the risk of being sick by eating here. Also tried to make contact and their phone number has been disconnected. I’ll be taking my claims now to food, health and safety governing body for ansewers.

Probably the best thai restaurant in Adelaide, hands down. Small, but comfy venue. Staff are super nice and easy going. Priced fairly, probably too modest for the quality of food they dish out. Food is so fresh and flavoursome, can’t get enough of the Pad Thai or Thai Red Curry. Awesome gear, defs worth your time.
