Eva's Cupcakery

My daughter had been wanting to try this establishment for a couple months and I finally got around to it today. For $19.50 for 4 cupcakes, I expected a lot more. The cupcakes were super dry and bland. The frosting was really sweet. They're very pretty, but for the price, I could've just gone to Carrs or Freddy's.

The design of the Baby Shower cake we got here was cute but the overall cake itself was not that great. The icing was very thick and too sweet for my taste. The cake itself was dry and not as good as I had hoped. The cupcakes we bought were also, just okay. Nothing too fancy but a little expensive. We only bought a cake and a few cupcakes here once, and haven't gone back since.

I got married in July, and Eva's made my gluten-free cake and two batches of gluten-free cupcakes (one batch, vanilla; the other, chocolate) for the reception. Eva went above and beyond in making me a beautiful, simple, and delicious cake, and amazing cupcakes for our guests! You couldn't even tell they were gluten-free. :) She is such a warm, loving, caring person who is passionate about helping people through her baking; she made our wedding planning experience so tasty and friendly!

I went in and wanted to try them all especially from all the reviews. So I got like 8 different ones because for one I was hungry and 2 I wanted to find my favorite. Now I'm from California so my expectations were high but from the reviews I didn’t think I had a problem when I got there the young sales clerk or sales associate made fresh frosting or icing or whatever it was and frosted my cupcakes now let me tell you all the cupcakes tasted the same all the frosting tasted the same they were just too sweet nothing seemed fresh it seem like they’ve been sitting there they’re kind of stale so maybe I went on a bad day

My favorite cupcake place in AK. Eva's Cupcakes always knock it out of the park. Some of my favorite are the pink lemonade (so tart, so yum), the sweet potato is just 🤌 *chefs kiss*, the apple pie tastes JUST like apple pie, and the cookies and cream baked with oreo chunks in the cake 😍😋. Honestly, they're all amazing. I've never ate a bad cupcake from there.
