We have eaten here for lunch, dealt with the rude staff and mediocre food
on numerous occasions, only because we like Mexican and El Patron is convenient to work. The staff appears nice on the outside but if you ever have an issue with your bill, Look Out! For example, today my girlfriend and I went to eat, I ordered the buffet which comes with a free tea, I personally don't drink tea but my girlfriend does, so I gave it to her. I ordered a coke which I planned on paying for. When I got the bill, they had charged me $1.99 for the tea along with $1.99 for the coke. When I asked the waitress about it, she told me I didn't drink tea so I had to pay for both! I tried to explain the buffet comes with a free tea and it shouldn't make a difference who drinks it. She took her attitude to the manager and he came out only to tell me I'm trying to get something for free, but wasn't going to argue over a tea. Needless to say I felt humiliated and will Never be seen in that place again!! On a positive side, the El Patron off Clemson Blvd. next to Hobby Lobby is excellent! Great food and great staff!

This is my favorite restaurant in Anderson! Best Mexican food I have ever eaten and the servers are very friendly!! I worked here for a month last summer and it is definitely worth a visit!! The drinks are also affordable and delicious!! ;)

Great service. Lunch buffet is amazing,endless food for a good price. I ordered something from their new selection called the Burrito Caliente, it was a 12" burrito with chicken,black beans, and Pico de gallo and chipotle sauce. It was amazing. Will definitely be ordering it again.

The worst El Patron in Greenville or Anderson county. No clear seperation from smoking area and non smoking. Food was really bad. The food, decor, and workers were all really sketchy. Overall just a really bad experience.

The Chile relleno was served as a green bell pepper, covered in white cheese. It was terrible. The cheese enchilada was so horrible it also it was also had so much cheese that it made it unpalatable.
