The entrance to De Grand is interesting as you go through an ice cream parlour. We made a booking which was a good idea since the place was packed. They have a digital menu which you order from. It was also interesting that they had free corkage if you spent $25 per person.
We grabbed some entrees and mains to share. The food came as they were ready. Both the pad Thai and pad see ew had a nice flavour. The curry puff was nice albeit a bit oily. The curries were also not bad. I wasn't a fan of the summer rolls though.
The food here was quite nice and they were quite efficient considering how busy the place was. As we left they were taking the tables from the ice cream parlour and cafe in the front to seat more people. Booking is recommended if you are wanting to try the place.

The food was nice! Did not like that we were sitting in the Boozy Gelato part of the restaurant, not a great place to eat while people are pouring in and out!

Went on a Saturday night, and the food is pretty good just a bit pricey. Waitresses are hit and miss but the woman in charge is very lovely :)

The food was pretty good, but the service is average at best. Very festive as long as you don't mind most of your fellow diners making use of the $3 per person BYO offer.

One of my faforite places I visit very often. Friendly staff and a great vibe. I will go back again and again and never get bored of the place. If you go there and you meet the friendly owner David, tell him Shaun says hi, and you might just get a good discount

We had our Marriage reception here and had our own room in the restaurant without extra fees. The manager was very in detail on what we want, told us everything we need to do prior to our reservation. They only have a BYO drinks for only $1 per person. Their food were delicious. Definitely one of the best Thai food in Auckland City. Definitely will recommend to my friends and will come back here.

Formerly Sawadee now De Grand this restaurant offers great Thai fusion food amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
