Indian Summer Restaurant

Four of us went to dinner and had such a lovely time. The food was superb!!! We had onion bhaji and squid for entree. Squid was sublime. For mains we had goan chicken curry, chilli prawns, goat curry and chettinad potatoes with rice and roti. One of us was dairy free so all our dishes were dairy free and the wait staff patiently went through the menu to point out which we could choose from. We ate our fill and had leftovers. Reasonably priced. The spice level was spot on- we asked for Medium- and it had just that bit of edge without overpowering the palate. We deffo will be back.

This is the 10th time, I have been to this place since moving to Hobsonville earlier this year. I have taken family and friends and they have been extremely enthusistic about the experience. The food is outstanding. Fresh and each dish has individuality and character. The staff are delightful. My cousins and friends tonight said, it was the best Indian meal they ever had in NZ. Prawn and mushroom curry, dhal, tandoori chicken, garlic Naan, chicken korma, lamb Rogan Josh, all were delicious. Also recommend the fish curry. I love this place.

May 2023 This was our first time here. The food was excellent and certainly what we expected. The table service was very good too and the proprietor was happy to explain the decorations that surrounded the restaurant. These decorations depicted the proprietors' cooking journey in India and enhanced the Atmosphere of the restaurant. Will certainly recommend Indian Summer to my friends.
