Ponsonby Foodcourt

Great place for value food in the heart of Ponsonby. Beer and wine is available. Malaysian place has a decent vegan menu but other outlets can also cater. Cleaning staff is very proactive and maintains the place to a high standard. I come here every week for a bite and then shoot some pool downstairs.

Ponsonby Food court has stood the test of time and has long been a favorite of mine. I generally have a fan favorite dish that I would recommend but every time I go I try something different and every time it’s a home run. This time I went for the sweet and sour pork and my good friend opted for the beef randang curry which was unreal! Always lots of seating around and you know you will have your meal served up within 10minutes which is big when you’re pushed for time. Cheep and cheerful with great quality. Popped down for lunch with a mate to the foodcourt today and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of foot traffic heaving through the joint. Great selection of cuisine but ultimately I was drawn to the Beed Rendang, I waiting at the table enjoying a sugar free Coca Cola from the drinks bar then the buzzer went off and excitably I danced to the counter to get my Rendang and boy was it a goodie.
