Lovely place to have top notch coffee. Very different from your typical cafe and not that much more to pay for a very high quality cup of single origin coffee. Auckland’s coffee scene is certainly becoming more sophisticated!

A perfect cuppa' specialty coffee served in a cosy space tucked away in Remuera, possibly the best I've had in Auckland! The baristas were super dedicated and passionate about their craft, taking the time to explain the process and tasting notes in the coffee. Found out during my visit that the owners of the cafe are a pair of World Barista Champions from Singapore and New Zealand - and I was served by Xin from Singapore :)

Really good hot chocolate made with bitter dark cocoa. This coffee shop is quite unique - they give you an information card with facts about the coffee/drink you are drinking. This is quite a small shop but it has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely not your typical coffee shop in New Zealand, but I highly recommend going here at least once. Be prepared to pay slightly more than normal though!

Cute little coffee shop hidden away in Remuera. Minimal decor and friendly staff. Coffee tastes great, one of the better coffees I’ve had in Auckland. Not really your daily coffee stop but a great place for a treat.

When I heard that a World Barista Champion from both Singapore and New Zealand opened a cafe in Auckland, we knew we had to include Catalyst coffee when planning our itinerary for a family trip there. No regrets! The pair is such dedicated barista and is meticulous in each and every cup of coffee they serve. They do serve single origin chocolate, tea and fluffy which my Daughter enjoys!

Best coffee in Auckland, very beautiful space. Rather than going for your usual, ask the talented baristas for their recommendation of what to drink & be prepared to order a second.

The Coffee here is among the best cafes in Auckland. I regularly visit many top coffee destinations (in my oppinion) in the CBD cafes such as eight thirty, Shelf on high street (Coffee labs), Oaken, Armano, Atomic Shortland St. The coffee at Catalyst will appeal if you appreciate a rich, flavourful, bold coffee flavour. Best Coffee in Remuera, and possibly east auckland.
For me the Coffee comes first, but the pleasant friendly staff certainly helps. I recommend popping by.
