Mr Taco

As someone who's from the states and of Mexican decent, this place is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants I've been to. The food, service, and care that goes into it is seen. I'd recommend their Pastor and Birria/Birria soup. Their flan is delicious as well as their Horchata. If you're here in Auckland, this place is a must!

Amazing birria special, it’s a must try. Homemade cornbread was yum and unique. Not dry and almost like a cornbread cheesecake, so good. We tried the chilaquiles at a different time and it was also delicious. Fresh authentic food!! Hidden gem. Incredible service, can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Mr. Taco is a gift to the people of Aukland and all of its visitors. The food is absolutely amazing and authentic. We had the spicy carne asada burrito and birria tacos. Both of them blew me away. I haven't had such good Mexican food since my last visit to Mexico. The owners were incredibly nice and I would definitely recommend visiting here to get a great, genuine Mexican meal!

My son came across this little eatery by accident. It's probably the best kept secret in Auckland. If you are into Mexican food, you got to try this place. The food is amazing and authentic. The owner is fun to talk to. Overall restaurant atmosphere is funky and my son love it. Recommended to all foodies to give it a try!

His food took me on a journey with every bite. Almost brings a tear to your eye once you have a bite knowing how amazingly everything is cooked and put together you can really taste the passion in each bite. The atmosphere in the place is amazing with great music. This must have magical experience I cannot express in words how amazing the food and experience was. Came twice in same weekend and will be a must stop everything I come to Auckland. Thanks my friends and I hope your business prospers for decades to come. You are legend.

The tacos were really delicious here and being able to get three different flavours in one order is a definitely a plus. The staff were kind. My only gripe would be the same as many other reviews: the tacos are quite smaller than I expected. Three won't really fill you up at all - but they are tasty.
