Softshell crab for the win! My daughter also loved the kids meal 🥰 we enjoyed everything that we ordered, food were excellent plus the ambience was so lovely! We will definitely come back..

New favourite Japanese restaurant! Tataki had a bit too firm edges for my liking but kids liked udon. Tempura was really good 👍

This is the best Japanese restaurant in Auckland in my opinion! The chef who makes the sushi is very professional! The sashimi is great too, the salmon is fresh and the best parts are used! The beef donburi is especially good, the meat is so creamy and the sauce is so sweet! I would love to come back!

Amazing food and service. It is my favourite place to eat. Food is always of a high standard, from soft shell crab, to beef tataki, to dumplings. Never disappointed by a meal at Unkai.

The fried ingredients in the sushi roll were hot and crispy so the food's definitely made to order. Decent quality Japanese food! Will definitely return.
