C'est une première pour moi en ce qui concerne la cuisine anglaise et quelle première ! Le plat était copieux (Grand cabillaud) et vraiment très bon ! Le seul bémol serai le manque d'assaisonnement des frites et du poisson, problème vite réglé à la maison avec un peu de poivre et de sel, donc anecdotique !
L'accueil était formidable, personnel très souriant et chaleureux, le lieu donne envie d'y passer une soirée à faire du billard ! Bref de la part d'un néophyte de la cuisine anglaise, je ne peux que recommander !
Arrêt express sur le route pour déjeuner. Ce fish and chips nous a transporté en Angleterre. Le patron est sympa, et les produits frais. Je recommande chaleureusement.

C'est bon, c'est copieux, c'est sympa, c'est bien reçu, c'est le meilleur fish & chips de Bellac.

As you approach the shop you can smell the chips and vinegar making your mouth water before you even decide what you want to eat.
Inside you are welcomed by friendly bilingual staff happy to help you with your order.
The chip shop also boasts a cheeky corner shop full of British home comforts.

The best fish and chips we've tasted in France, and one of the best fish and chips we've ever tasted - and we used to eat in Hastings, which has some brilliant fish and chip shops such as The Blue Dolphin. Fabulous. Very pleasant people and sorroundings, and simply fabulous food.
We had delicious cod and chips for supper from Le Pont. The portion sizes were generous and we even had a little pot of mushy peas. Ordering by phone is very easy, both English and French are spoken, and we paid online via a secure link. We opted for the home delivery and were very pleased with the service. We will definitely be ordering again.

A meal from Le Pont Fish and Chips has long been on the cards, I've been eyeing it up ever since a picture of a fish appeared at the empty shop window.
And finally, it happened! And I wasn't disappointed.
The chips were EXACTLY how I liked them, a bit fat, squidgy in the middle with a bit of crisp on the outside - perfect. Hand cut tasty loveliness.
The fish - which was generous in size - had a good crispy batter on it - I understand it's beer batter but the taste of beer wasn't overpowering at all, which I liked. I batter everything, I love batter, I eat batter a lot - and this was a good batter. Too often batter can be a little pale and not crispy enough - but that certainly wasn't the case here! This was a serious and grown up batter. The fish was flaky, tasty and cooked well.
The restaurant itself is pretty cool - as well as very clean - it's modern in decor and houses a pool table AND a Jurassic Park PINBALL MACHINE. I love pinball, as does my husband. Not only can you get a good meal here, you can have a beer as well! AND they sell lollies and ice-creams. I don't have a freezer, and I'm yet to find a supermarket that sells boxes of two - so this is great! There are also washing machines right next to it so it's perfect for putting in a load, having some food and drink (and a game of pool and pinball) and collecting on your way out.
AND.. as if that wasn't enough - there is a Briitsh shop attached to the restaurant. I know these are quite common now, but this is the cheapest I've found marmite at around 5 euros. Next time I'm getting spaghetti hoops!
So yeah, highly recommend! Looking forward to going back!
I took my mother here for food during her stay here in France and it was just like being back in the UK. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely attentive. We will definitely be back to visit for another meal here. Thank you for such a lovely meal!
