Great ramen. The lunch special comes with any ramen or your choice, do premium sides (I chose egg and mushroom), and a side salad for $14. The ramen was sufficiently spicy and had a generous amount of pork. The broth with a nice mixture of pork and chicken broth, they didn’t skimp on the brother either. Larger bowl than some of the other places I’ve been to in the city, would come back!

Standard fare sushi, very maki oriented and very little Nigiri. That said, it was great maki. The sashimi lover should avoid!

Great sushi that's fresh. An excellent sushi bar doesn't smell like fish. This place was great. Limited selection, however the dishes were delicious.

An izakaya like no other in the city. The prices are more than affordable for both their sushi and larger meals. It's small and cozy and even has a bar area for those that like to order directly from the chef

Really cool atmosphere and amazing food!! This place reminds me of a cozy izakaya, and the food is so good in every aspect: it came very quickly, the presentation was beautiful, and it tasted great! We got the beef and unagi don and each came with a plethora of tiny sides. The sushi rolls we're of good size and tasted amazing. We also got the special drinks (non-alcoholic) and they were very delicious! The service was very good and the wait staff checked up on us regularly. Would come back again!

Food is okay. Servers are nice and very accommodating. It's a small place. Not so great for big groups or families with kids. No room for a stroller.

Eating the fish here, you can tell that it is fresh. The salmon prsctical melts in your mouth. The portions that the restaurant gives for the price is fair. With the lunch special, the deal is even more worth it with the miso. The restaurant itself is somewhat of a hole in the wall. The place is fairly small, but the ambience is very clean and professional. The service was also very friendly. The workers were very efficient and gave us their attention even when we ordered take out. If you are ever in the mood for sushi and are around, I highly recomend Jun Shokudo.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The quality of their fish, both raw and cooked, is top notch. I've ordered chirashi, beef bowls, regular salmon and eel rolls, and their soy marinated tuna. The raw fish always tasted fresh and their seasonings and sauces were always delicious. Service was great, the people there are really nice. Only complaints are that it's a tiny bit expensive for Brooklyn and there isn't much sitting space.

I was pleasantly surprised by my meal. Sushi and sashimi were fresh, and not overly 'cold'. Service was quick and great. Will return.

solid sushi lunch special for $10, and the grilled mackerel teishoku was great for dining in for lunch. The scallop sushi was also quite good. The EDM blasting from the speakers kind of ruined the otherwise quintessentially Japanese aesthetic (felt more Japanese than most places I've been in NYC). The fried potatoes and tsukemono that came with my teishoku were a bit too spicy and out of place to complement the salted mackerel and sour ume-topped rice. Would like to check it out for dinner with nihonshu.
