Decent ramen with unique twists, such at Matzoh balls. Pricing seems a bit high based on the portion sizes, after all its just noodle soup. Everything tasted fresh, or as fresh as can be for noodles. It's worth going to get your ramen craving taken care of.

A restaurant that truly enjoys experimenting with ingredients and collaborating with local chefs to create some of the most creative dishes to update some of the more traditional Asian fare. It is with this that I have to admit that it can be a hit or miss but I appreciate the boldness and the genuine care the chef puts into his cooking. The menu obviously changes with specials that are normally on point but I think Dassara's specialty tends to be in spice and richer flavors such as with their special ribs and fries, lamb ramen or my favorite Cuban ramen which is only offered in the summer. Portion sizes lean slightly towards the smaller side for their price point but still worth a try for non-traditional ramen you can't get anywhere else.

Good little Ramen spot in Brooklyn. The beer selection was a little limited (the sake list looked okay). Service was a little slow considering we were the last group in the restaurant, but not horrendously so. My ramen (i got the Xi'an ramen, with the cumin lamb sausage) was very tasty. My one complaint was that the sausage was basically shredded, so it was a little tricky trying to have bites of sausage along with the noodles and the rest of the soup. I would have liked at least a few larger pieces of sausage so it didn't get lost among everything else in the soup. It was tasty, though, and I would definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

Delicious broth- soul soothing. This is the place for a perfect winter meal, the whole place gives the feeling of being wrapped in a cocoon. I had the chicken ramen, which doesn't contain chicken (well the broth is) but it has delicious pork and a perfectly medium egg that makes the whole eating experience an little sexy. Simply Delicious.

Bacon & Egg Noodles was like ramen carbonara, with scallions. Deli Ramen was like matzoh ball soup, ramen-style. Pork buns were like, well, pork buns, with nice juicy pork belly and fluffy buns. Thumbs up to all of it.

Dassara is actually known for their creative ramen (kimchi and matzo balls?!), but my ramen traditionalist heart will always appreciate the simple standards. Dassara has a wonderful lunch special: $15 for a bun, a PBR or soft drink, and a bowl of chicken, mushroom, or Szechuan ramen. The chicken ramen is what I’d choose over the others as it is the most bang for your buck. The mushroom ramen, for example, is good...but only for the first few bites; the mushroom taste gets a bit old and uninteresting, and actually is quite cloying (though I can’t explain why). The chicken ramen has thick al dente noodles, crunchy rainbow chard, juicy pork belly slices, and a perfectly poached egg. Dassara is a very interesting space with occasional music shows and poetry slams, so if I lived in the neighborhood I’d visit often.

My favorite ramen in NYC. There is a ton of flavor in every dish, and I could just die for the pork buns. This isn't an Ippudo clone, so don't come in expecting traditional ramen and you'll be really happy.
