I usually order their chow ho fun or baked rice from here but recently decided to explore some other options. While their food is good depending on what you order. It’s really important to know as a restaurant what you’re serving before you put it on the menu... I ordered the “Double cooked pork” over rice today. It’s not usual to see this dish over rice so I was curious. My expectation was very simple, double cooked pork with some chives. However upon opening the dish there was an extreme amount of random ingredients as well as a very oily sauce? I had to dump half the stuff out because to be quite frank it was just soaked with oil. It’s very hard to eat. The pork is technically suppose to be a pork belly piece but it seems like random cuts, which is whatever but not the least bit crispy due to the mass of sauce. It was eventually just unappetizing and I stuck with the soup and rice instead. The dish itself is a pain to make which is why I wanted to order it. It was disappointing seeing as this place usually has pretty affordable and decent food. However I would probably stay away from a majority of the “over rice” section aside from the roasts and a very few selection of others. Majority of the time it was just way too oily for me, personally. At least the hot and sour soup is bomb lol

As someone who is born and raised in Hong Kong, I would say Jin Jin's food is really authentic, just like the Cha chang tang in Hong Kong, BUT it really depends on what you order. Definitely stay away from Americanized chinese food (general tso chicken, sesame chicken, etc.) as they were only okay. The gems here would be 1) the baked rice dishes (~$8), the pan fried noodles (also~$8), fried rice are good too very flavorful and most importantly, have the "wok hay", LOVE their house special soup that comes with all the dishes, really brings back that cha chang tang feeling for me. Sushi are good too, reasonable price with good ingredients, in case you are craving for some canto food and sushi at the same time.

Authentic HK style food. Baked pork chop rice is especially good. So is curry fishball. Price is affordable.

Love this place so much. Always consistent and very affordable with great HK style comfort food to American Style Chinese dishes. It also has some sushi menu as well. 5 stars even during CoVid time, you can do take out.
