I will not be back. The 3 stars are for service,cleanliness and portion size. They don't use actual butter and the bacon was see thru. Even the water was off. I left half of my food on the plate.It wasn't bad, it just wasn't satisfying. But it was packed,clearly a favorite community spot. The waitress was lovely and professional.

Stopped in for lunch upon arrival in Buffalo. We were greeted and seated quickly. Great atmosphere with a down home touch. The wait time from order to service was minimal. Very good food and conversation with the co-owner on the history of the restaurant and the pictures of who's who on the walls. Will make it back if we return to the area.

Very good food, but you will wait for your food, possibly up to 45 minutes. My food has always been hot but I’ve seen customers receiving cold food. They need to work on their delivery speed. Customer service is good, but they be in their own world when you ask for things. You might get it or not depending on the day. Lol

Extremely pleasant, however they had me wait 45 minutes for a relatively easy order of just meat and no egg and cheese, and then put everything I asked not to he be on my food on my food and I simply got nothing but a sorry. I feel like they care and cater more away from the yoinger urban culture in a time when bias judgment is huge.

My pan cakes was cold. However, first of all I ordered chicken and Waffles. The waitress reported there was no waffles.Then I was only given one piece of chicken. Usually i get a breast and wing. I love matties restaurant but I am sad to say I will look for another place to eat. Let me say this is not the first time. I would just eat the cold pancakes. Because the owners are very good people. When the owners are not there, the food Consequently falls off!!!

Not a good experience overall. My food was good, but my friend's food was subpar. Customer service was horrible. The waitress served everyone else around us, but never came back to our table to check on us, refill our drinks, or even give us our check! I had to get up from the table to ask for the check, as our waitress walked right past me, completely ignoring me. It was very obvious that my friend and I were not one the "locals" and it showed. I will certainly never return to this place that claims to have the best breakfast in town...

First let me start by saying, this is not the best breakfast in town. I ordered pancakes eggs and bacon. The sides were fine, however the pancakes tasted like cheap pancake mix and were dry. Food aside the service was what really got to me. It seemed like if you werent a regular, you didnt get much service. Matties only had one waitress working but the place is small and it wasnt crazy busy or anything. We never got checked on once and we had to ask the front counter for our check. Tables around us got treated much better which I felt was wrong.
