Absolutely delicious. Got a maple spice latte because it was written on the board...otherwise I had too many options and would've stayed another 15 minutes deciding. Pumpernickel bagel with chive cream cheese also really good. Service was friendly and fast (4 staff on a Tuesday morning!), and I could tell most of the customers were regulars. I will be back

I'm glad I gave Cafe Taza a shot! The staff is friendly, and their breakfast sandwiches are good. Expect a little wait for food--they don't seem to have much in the way of cooking equipment behind the counter--but it's not egregious or the end of the world. The pastries are good, too.

The coffee is good, but the guy at the counter just kind of stood there with a blank stare until I ordered... It was kind of an awkward interaction, and you pour your own coffee, which is fine, but as a first time customer, I didn't realize. It seems I was just expected to know this as if it's a normal thing for coffee shops to do. Overall, it wasn't a great first experience.

Coffee is a very personal thing. None of their roasts are profiled to my taste, too dark and oily for me; but if you like a low acid and creamier brew, this place is right up your alley. Nice people working here and they have plenty of different origins to select from.

Any time I'm in the downtown area, I make it a point to stop here - the environment is peaceful, and the service includes a smile. They have a huge selection of beans for grinding at home as well... Perfect place to visit for a quick breakfast - be sure to stop by!
