El Encanto Restaurant

I walked in to order take out last week, it was ready in 15 minutes and the pina colada was phenomenal - made with fruit, not mix! With COVID, there wasn’t indoor dining, but it looked brigh and crisp. We ordered, strolled around the block for 15 minutes, and on our return, our meal was waiting for us. It was really good. I was happy to have mofongo - it came with half a chicken! The pastelillo was large and good, though not my favorite in the city.

The food gets these stars - excellent! I give only 3 because the ownership of this establishment needed to do better than one waitress (who was also bartending, hostessing, and taking care of take out orders) and one cook on a Saturday night. She was working her butt off but could only do so much. The young lady had 3 tables walk out because she couldn't get to them fast enough. I don't blame her. I blame the owners who couldn't be bothered to make sure they were properly staffed on one of the busiest restaurant nights of the week. Go for the food, but if you see only one waitress working, leave and go somewhere else, or be okay with frustratingly slow and inattentive service.

I went in person and I loved you guys. I ordered from door dash today, and you said you were preparing my food and then canceled my order because you were "closed". I don't understand why restaurants take orders from food places like Uber eats and door dash if you get so busy you can't keep up. Now i don't get my food, and you have no idea why i cant come in to get it. Poor poor customer service and I guarantee the only thing i will get from this is some dumb apology. I never complain or even makes reviews so the fact that I'm leaving this shows how livid i am.not acceptable
