Lolly’s Sugar Shack

On our way west to cal, spent the night in Buffalo , Wy just because it was as far as we wanted to go. Stayed at the historic Occidental Hotel (filled with antiques) and listened to country music in the saloon while we had dinner. This morning we just happened by Lolly’s sweet shop and had one of the best donuts I’ve ever had…. Warm ! Great stay in Buffalo, everyone was warm and inviting. So glad we just “happened to stop”.

I stopped in Buffalo on my way to Gillette to satisfy a sweet tooth. I strolled downtown in search of the perfect fix when I happened upon a neon sign buzzing with the word Bakery glowing in red. I pushed past the heavy door and stepped back in time. This quaint shop had once been the town's bank, vault, and all. The cinnamon rolls enticed the patrons who had no willpower to resist, and the coffee was piping hot. There were only a handful of seats to gather comfortably, but being there was only two in my party, we snuggled up in the front of the fireplace and carried on a conversation with the owner until we laid our forks in our empty plate. The time at Lolly’s Bakery was welcoming, unique, and satisfying. I encourage you to visit Lolly’s Bakery the next time you find yourself in Buffalo, Wyoming. #shanamariemoments

This little place does big things. Best coffee in town and their baked goods - OH, MY GOSH! And I am consistently shocked at how inexpensive this place is - you can leave with a big bag of goodies for under $20.00. Their Gingerbread Sticks, Pretzel Candy, Monster Cookies, Salted Caramel Bars, Cinnamon Rolls, Cobblers - AMAZING! Get their early - they sell out quickly! Laurie and Ray are just the nicest people and treat everyone like friends and they obviously love what they do.

Such a lovely shop. Their baked goods are delicious! Highly recommend if you have a sweet tooth. I bought a strawberry cream cheese cupcake and peanut butter chocolate chip bar...wow. The staff is kind, personable and sweet as their display case! I also grabbed a cold brew coffee. It was so good I decided to buy a bag of the coffee beans they used for it! Will be going again...and again....and again! Plus the prices are incredible!

Ray and Laurie have brought their genuine Southern Hospitality and sweet Southern comfort food to the beautiful town of Buffalo Wyoming. If you want to try great southern baked goods and True Southern sweet tea, you must try Lolly’s Sugar Shack in downtown Buffalo by the Occidental Hotel. Everything is good, but especially the cinnamon rolls. Except Friday’s it would be the donuts.
