Yellow Door Bistro

We visited Yellow Door Bistro for lunch today. We are here from Manitoba and wanted to try somewhere a bit different for lunch. This place has a wonderful ambiance! The interior is very modern and beautiful. The music they play is quite pleasant, and our server Vernon was wonderful! He was so friendly, attentive and fun to have as a server. They have a good variety of meal options. We tried the twice fried fries, I had the fungi pizza and my husband had their burger. Everything we ate was delicious. They even have a few options on the menu (including my pizza!) that provides a meal to someone else in need when you order it, which I loved. All-in-all, I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit somewhere for a nice meal.

Came here for our anniversary for the breakfast buffet. The menu online looked amazing. However, when we got to the restaurant, the buffet had less than 10 items and was mediocre at best. The corn fritters were undercooked and were raw on the inside. When we pointed this out to the server, she asked the kitchen and asked us to not eat them. There was no follow-up from anyone else. The warm food was cold upon our arrival (and we were one of the first customers!). The food was never replenished even once while were there for the entire 40 minutes (we left early because the food was no longer palatable). Would not recommend.

A large group of ladies attended this beautiful “Bistro” for a special event. The service was exceptional. Jean was attentive, cordial and walked us through the appetizers, main courses, wine selection etc. The food was beautifully plated, and incredibly tasty. My group mates were split between the tenderloin and pickerel .. it was all DELICIOUS… Desert was lovely (the crème brûlée was not for me .. but the spiced orange cake — yesss please!!!) The atmosphere was lovely but really, the company was exceptional .. supper with a variety of shared appetizers and dessert and ample wine averaged about $100 per person so it’s not an everyday event - but certainly worth it for a special outing.

Mediocre food at best. 35-40$ a plate, was expecting a standard well done meal comparable to other upscale places such as Model Milk and Ten Foot Henry. Boy was I wrong. Dry pork, undercooked chicken, and flatbread which is really just absolutely poorly made pizza. I'd give this place, for the price, a below average at best. If you want just cocktails and an Appy, this spot will suffice. Otherwise, please spend your money somewhere else.

Two colleagues going for a dinner out. Johnny served us. What an incredible experience. You simply must have the beef tartare… lovely flavours! Joni was fantastic at suggesting wine pairings with each of our courses, they paired perfectly! The duck confit pirogies or an excellent choice and I must have! We were lucky enough to be there on a night where they served oysters, East Coast all the way! Their dessert feature is also a wonderful choice, an interesting spin on carrot cake. Thank you Johnny for your wonderful service and suggestions and thank you yellow door for being such a hit on our stop while travelling out of town!

The yellow door bistro entrance is through the Art Hotel lobby. Went in with my friends for brunch buffet , nice selections, fresh fruit and loved the Benedicts 😋 I loved the design and the atmosphere inside this bistro ! Would definitely go back with my family. Brunch buffet is a bit at higher range $$$ but loved the food quality. The lady who served us was a bit careless with pouring coffee ☕️!! Anyhow she was very friendly and chatty . Also need to add that the art hotel pool is pretty amazing 🤩
