The Metropolitan

Probably a funny experience review. During Stampede week my daughter, her boyfriend and I wanted to eat something before I brought them to the airport for their flight. We ordered, got our soft drinks ordered our food and checked with the waiter if we had enough time to eat it. Everything took longer than expected and we ended up canceling our food order. The manager handled it with grace. He waved the will even for the drinks, at the same time the food arrived. He immediately stepped up ordered to have it boxed as fast as possible and we were good to go. The food was good even eating it from a box in the car! Excellent way of handling emergency situations. Very much appreciated!

Weird place with sports bar atmosphere, it's probably 3/5 for what it is, but it's advertised as restaurant; There are waitresses in tiny clothes and the food is underwhelming. We ordered steak frites - the fries were great, meat was meh, plus a mountain of green with no dressing. We did not go again.

Booked a customer lunch and we got seated at the patio right at noon. The server was nice but we had no menus or any directions on ordering until we asked to see menus. There were no barcodes on the table and when we asked our server, she said to go to the front or bar to scan with our phone! The 6 of us just went online to find the menus and finally ordered around 12:30. At 12:45, we didn't get our food yet but another person (maybe Manager) walked by and told us we had to leave at 1pm because there was a party starting then! We didn't even get our food yet. Then, music started blaring so loud we couldn't talk. One customer never got his second beer and they just came by with the bill. I know it's Stampede but we have choices and if we were told we had an hour, we would have made arrangements. I used to be a regular but will NEVER come back. Stampede or not. Not that busy when it's not Stampede anyways. Oh...and it was $350 after tip for 6 of us. With one beer each.

I would have given 0 star if I could. Such horrible service. We were neglected by our server and the other servers. Went as a group of four, brought us 3 plates and 2 napkins. Wanted to order more drinks but she wouldn’t attend our table although looking straight into her eyes to the point that we walked to the bar and ordered drinks. I had asked for water from another server when asked if we were helped. Once she realized we were helped by another server she ignored us and no one brought any water to the table. Furthermore, the beer glass was chipped on the rim as shown in the photo which could have been a problem if we had not noticed it Our drinks and foods were very mediocre. I would not recommend this place to anyone !
