Ricardo's Hideaway

My friend and I tried several dishes (the sweet potato fries, the corn, the romaine, and the empanadas). Everything was delicious. My friend loved her mixed drinks and I loved the Dandy beer they had on tap. Service was extremely attentive. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely pleasant. Great experience overall and I'll definitely go back next time I'm in town.

The patio is super cute and nice atmosphere. Only downside is that it's currently facing a ton of construction and it's hard to get to also for that reason. Not a lot of food on the menu and some items are a bit pricey, but the food is delicious and service is great. The cheese empanadas are my favourite!

I can't believe I lived in Calgary this long without going to this place, it really is a hideaway. Let me tell you what you're missing out on - AWESOME service, the drinks were outstanding and I would highly recommend the classic daiquiri. Then, when we thought it couldn't get any better, our food came and I was blown away. We got the Jamaican patties which were good, but the Maui Rib was soo good we ordered another. We probably could have gone for thirds but i had an excessive amount of meat that day. Before leaving I went to the washroom which held an awesome surprise in the form of fun wallpaper. perfect for selfies....although the lighting wasn't great lol. The only thing i would change about this place is the uncomfortable bar stools - super cramped. Everything else was perfect, this place just speaks to my soul and I will be going back often now.
