Vern's Pizza

We were in Calgary for the day. And husband and I remember that they had Vern pizza! Of course we knew exactly what we wanted ( MOMA MIA)!!! This is like your typical house pizza BUT it a 5 POUNDS OF HEAVEN!! You can only order 15/18 inch due to amount of toppings and YES THERE IS A LOT!! ( see pictures I posted). I and my husband really like their sauce it a little sweet not overly. When we place the order we knew it was going to take longer than normal for it to be delivered (40 min, just to cook.) The guy over the phone was pleasant and even asked if we could use plates forks etc BONUS!! Yes when we got our food within an hour of calling ( 15 min drive) they remember the plates etc we had said yes too. It been a few years since we have had Vern :( . But this place in Calgary never left us down! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND trying this pizza ( MOMA MIA) for anyone who is really hungry or loves house pizza. Very filling pizza and worth the cost hand down! When the delivery guy came same professional and friendly.

The taste is still great. They have the best sauce. Not as much toppings as you used to get. Doesn't matter which location you go to, in any city, they just don't put as many toppings on as they used to. Having said that, it's still more than most other franchises, and is still good value, and still very filling. Still my favorite pizza. In the country. Staff are friendly, and hard working.

Somewhat expensive but worth the price due to how loaded their pizzas are. If you're going to choose pizza around the 20$ mark, definitely go here. The T-Rex pizza is aptly named considering how many layers of meat there are. The cheese is probably the best quality in the SE and there's a nice thick layer. The bottom crust is nice and thin but strong enough to hold the toppings. Everything about the pizza is seriously great quality.

I got the thick 18'' pizza for my colleagues and myself. It was huge and everyone was surprised how much pepperoni and ham was in it. Also it has reasonable amount of yummy vegetables. I do not recommended it though because no matter how tasty these pizzas are, processed meat (pepperoni and ham) is proven to significantly increase odds of getting cancer.
