Run down interior. Flies everywhere. Teenage workers (albeit nice ones) who call you "man" and "bro" instead of sir. Cash only venue. Food was tasty and well-proportioned at a good price.

Decent price but the quality is poor and enchiladas are bland, cold and swimming in enchilada sauce to where they are soggy and tortilla chips taste like popcorn 😞

Don't trust the old reviews. They are outdated. This restaurant has changed. The burritos have shrunk, and they keep shrinking. If you like the taste of tortilla more than the ingredients, enjoy! I used to love this place. What is going on?

This place is cash only, so don't be caught off guard! I believe there is an ATM inside the restaurant. The food is classic San Diego Mexican food, with huge portions, and the drive thru that seems almost mandatory. Personally I just go through the drive thru because The place seems small. The food is cheap, the employees are all really cool, and filled up my reusable water bottle for me, and were very friendly even when I changed my order at the window. (Sorry about that!) Absolutely worth it, if you're starving this place hits the spot.

They used to be good when I was a kid. Now their meat quality has gone down and they charge more. I have paid for sour cream extra multiple talks and driven away only to find out there's no sour cream in my burrito. You want a good burrito go to lolas Period

Always fresh and cooked home style. The cooks are local and talk like locals. Carlsbad is a beach community and many of these families have lived 2 to 3 generations in the same home. Cash only and quick service. Today I had the #14 Ham, Eggs, Salsa and cheese combination plate with Spanish Rice and refried Pinto Beans and two large flour tortillas for only about $8 bucks. Large portions, cooked right and delicious!

They have good food but I rarely get what I actually ordered. Today for instance I went through the drive through and ordered rolled tacos with guacamole and sour cream. When I got home I opened it and what I got was just a bunch of chips with guacamole and sour cream on them (like nachos but no meat or beans).
Time before that I ordered 3 bean burritos ($2.49 ea.on the menu board) and they charged me $11.50, it was on my way home before I realized they ripped me off. I did get the right food at least but paid way too much. Should have been closer to $8.00 even with tax

The food is decent, and consistent. The prices are cheap and the staff although understaffed has always been polite. They are generous with their hot sauce. the restaurant is pretty dirty but you get what you pay for
