Cafe Coffee Day

I honestly feel this place deserves an overall rating of 4.5 stars atleast. Located in one of the mall's atriums, Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) is the perfect spot for a coffee break. Positives: - The mall does not have much in terms of seating in it's public areas. CCD is located quite in the open and offers genuine respite. (Or in my case, a place to lounge around with a book while your wife goes to the salon nearby!). - Lots of natural light and ventilation. - The place is consistent with its coffee offerings which is served hot and the barista is very willing to customise your milk or coffee strength ratios free of charge. - Staff is polite and efficient although they can smile more. Anandhi is an exception here. She is the morning shift barista and has an infectious smile and laugh which is a great positive for the team. - The place is kept surprisingly VERY VERY CLEAN inspite of its turnover. A special shout out to their house keeper Ms Dhanakshmi who works quite hard to ensure. Negatives: - Please be specific when you order both in terms of type of beverage and size. I have sometimes had my bill punched incorrectly and charged a bit more however the staff immediately refunded the overcharge. - The place has a few flies but I don't blame it on CCD. It's in an atrium and located next to a hypermarket which has loads of fresh produce. Overall, it's always a nice experience when you are here. You can spend hours just sitting here and reading or take a break after shopping. Highly recommended.
