Very quaint old restaurant in the center of Chippewa Falls. Lots of history and you get to have lunch with Casper. By far the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had. French fries were awesome. Death by chocolate Tiramsu was very good. Hat off to the chef. Plan your meal as they are only open until 3:00.

Absolutely horrible dining experience. We were seated promptly & our drinks & appetizers were served quickly. The drinks were fine but the appetizer had a long hair in it. The waiter watched my friend remove the hair from her mouth but said nothing. We placed our meal orders and waited...and waited...and waited. After two parties that arrived after us were served their meals we asked for the check. By that time we had been seated for well over an hour. The waiter literally tossed the bill on the table and offered a lame excuse that we weren't served because of the way the orders "fell out" while we were sitting there. Don't know if this is the standard or just one bad night, but we will never go there again.

We took friends here last evening-was there a couple of weeks ago and had the Brussels sprouts appetizer and 5 different entrees which was all excellent. Unfortunately last night was quite the opposite. There were 2, yes 2 people trying to serve the entire place. We were there at 5:30; there were 4 people seated at the bar and about 8 tables on the lower level. The waiter was also the bartender and had never bartended before. He had never made a Manhattan. All of our food was not as ordered but we did not want to complain. One ordered a burger and French onion soup and it came with 2 pieces of toast, no soup and the burger very overdone. The soup then came in a (approximate) 1/2 cup serving dish. Another ordered the pork belly tacos - it came with 4 tortillas and only enough filling for 2. The truffle fries had been sitting for some time with a sprinkle of Parmesan that wouldn’t even melt. One burger came with a pretzel bun and the other had a regular bun.The salmon risotto came with mostly rice in a (approximately) 5-6 inch deep bowl with very little salmon…and that was $28. We felt SO badly for this poor guy who was literally in a frenzy and apologizing, trying to accommodate everyone but being SO pleasant at the same time. During our stay another waiter came running in, supposedly to try to help. Where was the owner? We realize everyone is short of help but it’s no wonder given a situation such as this. What a shame, as this was once a great place. We will not be back.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend so our group of four arrived around 5:30 for dinner. After waiting over an hour and 15 minutes for our entree, and watching a table of 4 and another table of 6 who were seated well after us receive their entrees before us, we left. We did receive our shrimp appetizer, which contained a 9" long blonde hair in it. The waiter/chef watched as my friend pulled it out of her mouth, but didn't apologize, comp the meal or acknowledge the hair. Highly disappointing, unprofessional,, unorganized...and gross

DELICIOUS food. absolutely loved the fries. they are perfect seasoned. quite honestly some of the best fries i have had. i had a smothered burger and that was incredible. a fried tomato with LOADS of creamy cheese sauce. our server Holly was an absolute sweet heart as well and was very attentive. thanks!
