Sandbar And Grill

Went to try a new place for a Sunday lunch and because the reviews were excellent. Happy I did! Bright, clean and busy with a wide range of guests, the menu had plenty of unique burger options, pizzas, salads and sandwiches. We had spicy curds (very good, and medium pepper-hot to not-too-hot), Farm Burger (bacon, cheese and BBQ Pork + burger), and a Grilled Cheese 2.0 with a bacon sauce. All were very good, as was the service. Tables were full so we sat at the bar. Very pleasant. Will return.

DELICIOUS! I got a western burger and some garlic cheese curds. The rest of the table got various burgers and some more snackerookskis. All delicious. Before hand my friend was talking up the sweet potato tots for days. Wonderful tots of joy. The only negative is that somehow i managed to leave my to go box. Would recommend!

Less than basic. Less than adequate service, even for rural Wisconsin. The only people who like this are the regulars, whose opinion should probably be questioned if they frequent the place. The only redeeming quality is its proximity to the lake and how cheap the drinks are. The quality of food reflects the price - cheap. If you want to get diabetes, you’ll love this place.

Good food. I’ve been there quite a few times even back when it was poos. Love the pork steak and dumplings on Wednesday’s. Today I tried the hot beef and fries. It was good. Needed some horseradish which luckily I had at home. Called to see if they still did curbside since I had my baby in the car but the girl said not really so it was a little hard to carry him and my food but not a super big deal. Nice bar. Been there for darts and such too. Nice location on the water.

The place is nice and clean. The decor is well-done. The ambiance is welcoming. Seating is comfortable and spaced so you don't feel cramped. The service is excellent. Our server was great. Our food was slow, however and when it finally came out, the fries were cold. The burgers were dry and over cooked. They had no flavor, no seasoning. We ordered the Cali-burger and Sandbar burger and they tasted the same. We requested medium rare on the Sandbar burger and it came out more done than the medium well. I ordered the sweet potato tots and those were just right and still warm. Good flavor. We will stop again to give another shot but doubtful we'd order another burger. Disappointing for food but the place is nice!

Always good food and the service is usually pretty decent. I know times and STAFFING are especially hard right now… I used to waitress for many years, and get it! So not knocking anyone. But, was there with my family on a recent Saturday afternoon 2:30-3:00pm time frame, maybe 6 tables outside and hardily anyone inside,I noted how many younger staff were working out on the patio and seemed like they could’ve used some direction or a seasoned employee helping out. They just kind of stood there, didn’t check in, and other tables were getting upset that their drinks weren’t coming out after quite awhile. It was actually taking away from our experience listing to them complain. The waitress had to go back and ask that particular table 3 times what drinks they were wanting and not once wrote them down. So I could see why they were annoyed. Other tables were going and getting their drinks from the inside bar because no one was coming to them. A few items got mixed up at our table, and my husbands burger came out at least 10 minutes before my meal and kiddos. We had apps and a wrap, so nothing that should have taken any longer than the burger, just kind of weird. Even with all that went on it, it won’t keep me from supporting their business! It was most likely just an off day, but made me feel bad/cringe for the owner as to how a normally busy day of the week was being handled. I actually almost approached him a few days later when I saw him in public or emailed him, but didn’t want it held against me if when I came in again. My husband and I aren’t complainers, we don’t want things for free in life, we still tipped the waitress generously, and will return. But it’s been on my mind and I felt like the owner should know.
