Silver Spring House

Silver Spring House is a very large establishment that has great service. I do wish there were more vegetarian options, but I was able to substitute chicken for a veggie burger on any salad/entree. The salad was very filling and I love that they use 80 Acres lettuce. The free popcorn is cool and I enjoyed looking at all the pictures on the wall of customers.

This place is always busy and is a social hub on the weekends. I wanted cheese grits and shrimp but it wasn't available. The breaded shrimp, loaded baked potato and chili were really good. I don't go there a lot even though it's the closest restaurant to my home, not sure about the political climate that's supported? Otherwise the food was good and the service was timely. I had the pleasure of trying their signature dish, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was a work of art. It was evident that only the finest and freshest ingredients were used, resulting in a meal that was both flavorful and satisfying.

You can tell when it's good when it's crowded. But even when full, we only waited 5 minutes. It's bar type food so start with that in mind. But it's treated like a restaurant, has a full bar inside, feels like a vacation oasis with fake palm trees and islandy decor, and outside seating plenty, even if you're inside up against the open windows. The chicken is tender and very large portions! You'll end up taking food home. High value! Very flavorful! I want to try the burgers next. Will definitely be back! Oh, the sangria and margarita was decent too.

I have passed this place so many times and decided today I would stop in, and I'm so glad I did. They recently completed renovations. The atmosphere was warm and friendly while waiting for my takeout order. I do plan on returning for the in dining experience. The food was delicious with exceptional customer service. If you haven't heard or tried Silver Springs House... stop by, you won't be disappointed.

1st visit. Arrived just before noon. By the time we left, about an hour later, the place was packed. Tried the chicken sandwich Cajun apices. Came with two nice size chicken breasts. Nicely seasoned. Toasted bun, mayonnaise & shredded lettuce. Tried a cup of friend onion soup. It was “ok”. Also had half chicken dinner. Man was it moist & delicious. They also have many beers & cocktails. Our server, Haley, was perfect. Thank you Haley. May take us awhile to return. It’s a 2 hr drive.
