Gold Star

This restaurant is consistently on point. The food is always consistent and good. The customer service was superb. I went through the drive-thru because the dining area was closed for some repairs but the young lady at the drive-thru was very polite and very much on the case for making sure I got what I came for which was good service and good food.

I have been eating at Gold Star and Skyline for close to 50 years. I like both but prefer Gold Star. I have to say I have never eaten at this location before and was blown away by how awesome the crew is there. Cannot say enough about the service. The openness and helpfulness were simply outstanding. I have dined in Michelin 2 star restaurants in the past (well, way past) and I felt the service/attention was just as good and the people were simply awesome! Just because it's a chili dog doesn't mean you can't do everthing right. This team did. Also - I didn't have it but the guy next me swears they make the best BLT he has ever had. Based on the bacon on it it looks like it was phenomenal.

Ordered the classic chicken and the bacon chicken sandwiches with fries to go. Didn't know Gold Star had chicken, but they were really good. Also, recently had their burgers and they were just as good! Now we have another fast food place for burgers and chicken as well as their yummy chili! Can't wait to go back again.

So, I went here specifically to try the vegetarian chili. The chili used a plant based meat and it was really quite good. I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. I also ordered a coney with the veg chili and the person informed me that the hot dog was not vegetarian. So I was offered a chili/cheese sandwich, with the veg chili. Nice that they didn't just give me what I ordered and gave an alternative. Overall, great service and yummy.
