Joe's Diner

Joe's on Sycamore is so good that it's one of the tragedies of OTR. This little diner has some of the best late night food around, and their french fries are seriously some of if not THE best I've ever had. I'm a regular on weekend nights, and the kind staff always remembers my order (Buffalo & Blue Burger, hold the blue cheese) right when I walk in. I wish I could branch out and try the rest of the menu because I'm sure they have great stuff, but my normal order keeps me coming back. The only negative about Joe's from a service standpoint is their small crew is often overworked by the late night rush. If it's busy, please be patient. Those ladies work hard to keep customers satisfied. I love Joe's. I think it's a tragedy that they're a few feet from all the action in OTR but are so often overlooked. Definitely stop by the next time you're in OTR hitting up bars on a weekend night.

I go to Joe's all the time and I've always had a good experience. The food is good and reasonably priced, and the service has always been great. One time I went there and they gave me and my girlfriend our meals for free because they said "it was poor service." Even that time it only took about fifteen minutes to get our meal. The buffalo bleu burger, the OTR breakfast, and the banker's burger are all favorites.
