La Cava Fine Mexican Cuisine

The place was empty! No customers at 6pm on a week night! My first instinct was to turn around and find somewhere else to eat. However, I would have missed the most delicious seafood chimichanga and margaritas, served by the most gracious and attentive waiter! The food was exquisite and only overshadowed by the delightful atmosphere! The stone walls and decor provided the ambiance to a perfect meal! I am so glad we decided to dine here!

La Cava is an excellent dining experience. The location is perfect - hidden, quiet, easy off-street parking, a gem of a place. The inside is absolutely old-world Mexico - stone walls, Mexico style chairs and tables, a deer head, saddles hanging off wood beams, intimate seating and seating for large groups, as well. The bar area is romantic in the old-school caballero way. La Cava is owned and operated by 3 brothers who are great hosts. The food is excellent, the drinks are delicious, plenty of excellent dinner choices. La Cava is my favorite place to go when I want good food, in a beautiful setting, in a safe and secure area with easy parking access....

Lovely hidden gem! I love this place because it is not your typical "over-decorated" mexican restaurant, the place looks high end, and far more traditional than your tacky almost mocking - colorful booths you usually see at other mexican restaurants. Our server greeted us right away and quickly acomodated our party of 6. He then proceeded to bring enough chips, salsa and water to go around our table. Very attentitve and responsive to our needs. The Chicken Mole and Camarones a la diabla were our favorite! Will definitely come back!

Charming atmosphere, authentic Mexican food. Decor is wonderful from the statues at the entry to the unique chairs, stone walls and open wood beams. Such a beautiful ambiance, perfect for a date night or family outting. The food was spectacular! The rice actually had flavor which seems to be hard to find. The Chile relleno was packed with cheese and a wonderful mix of flavors. The enchilada was amazing as well, plenty of meat which was seasoned perfectly and the red sauce packed some heat which I loved. Fajitas came out sizzling. Portions were perfect to leave you nice and full. Overall excellent hidden gem.

interesting experience.. Went for dinner around 5:30pm on a Sunday and we were the only people in the restaurant the entire time. The food was very good, i would definitely eat it again. $35 for bottomless chips and salsa, enchiladas, and a seafood chimichanga with rice and bean sides. Cool interior. It’s in an office park type location so it was a little confusing to find.

Excellent new menu. The new ownership has completely changed the menu with much more affordable prices. The fish tacos were awesome. Fried perfectly, and delicious. They are still waiting on a liquor license, but don't let that stop you. The food more than makes up for it. I will be making a habit of eating here.

This place is so great! The food is amazing, great prices and the service is phenomenal. They have a new menu with so many more dishes to choose from, including a kids menu. If you love Mexican food, I highly recommend La Cava. It's my new favorite restaurant to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine! Go try it today!

Fantastic in every way. Intimate setting with high ceilings, stone walls, dimly light with giant, antique chandeliers. All of the food is tremendous. Mexican fine dining at its best. Salsa Is unique, loaded with flavor, without the overbearing heat so common to this area. My wife’s enchiladas were the best I’ve ever tasted. The meat inside was so tender and the red sauce they use is absolutely the best. The steak fajitas were cooked perfectly medium. The flavor of the grilled poblanos it comes with put me in Mexican food heaven. The GM, Hawkin, was very attentive. We can’t wait to go back. Prices are spot on given the quality and portion size. How have I not heard of this place!?!
