4 stars because the fried Food is cooked fresh, so the wait is a little long which unfortunately loses a star.. Overall it's a really good place to eat. I've been a few times and ordered the catfish and the chicken wings...very good. The fried cabbage is a must have! It was so delicious. The pricing is affordable. But if you are in a big hurry, I would avoid lunchtime here...because again the wait can be a little long and that's the biggest downfall. However, it is worth the wait.

Oh my goodness I am so overjoyed with excitement that my husband and I have finally found a BBQ/SOUL food restaurant! We have lived in pueblo colorado for three years and been from denver all the way to raton Mexico trying to find some good BBQ. Mayos is not good BBQ it's freaking fantabulous bbq!! It's not too expensive and the portions are very decent I ordered the fried chicken with mac and cheese and fried cabbage and hubby got the pork spare ribs with baked beans and fried cabbage and we both instantly melted in our chairs!!! The staff was very friendly and on point!!! The menu said they had cornbread and I was a little disappointed that they don't actually have cornbread!! I truly hope they eventually add more choices to their menu!!! We will be returning customers I finally got my home cooked fried chicken fix I didn't even have to put salt or pepper on anything!!!! Amazing mayos!!!!

Family owned/run business. They are absolutely amazing and know what we like, remember us and always up for a friendly conversation. The food is always delicious and I frequently recommend this place to others. My favorite is smothered pork chops, green beans and potato salad with a Thai tea. Happy eating! You won't be disappointed!

Great food, great prices, friendly folks! If you want some great southern cooking done right then look no further. The fish and shrimp was fried to perfection, fried cabbage, black eyed peas and coleslaw, all amazing. Topped it off with some sweet potato pie, made me want to buy a whole pie before I left, it's that good!

I ordered the Catfish and not many places cook catfish the correct way however, the fish was light flakey glistening meat which was lightly coated and fried to perfection with the best tarter sauce I have ever enjoyed. The Okra was amazingly coated and fried to perfection and the black eyed beans seasoned perfectly and cornbread was light flakey and spot on. I topped it off with their amazing sweet potato pie. The interior was clean to include the restrooms, the atmosphere was light music, relaxing, and easy to talk to another.
