Breakfast Simply

Debbie our waitress was great. She provided attentive timely service and anticipated our needs. The food was very good. The only issue was both our burgers were not quite done enough. I ordered mine Medium and would say it was Medium Rare. My wife ordered Medium Well and would say it was Medium. This was amplified by most restaurants going in the opposite direction with doneness these days. However it was not enough to make us bring it up to the staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Elisia was our server during our visit to Black Bear Diner. We came for our niece's birthday brunch, as it was her choice, and we had been here last year. However, it had been six years since we last visited this location. I ordered the chicken fried steak and iced tea, and it came with green beans as the side, which was a bit underwhelming as I expected more variety. My wife ordered the cinnamon hot chocolate and the Bear's Choice, while our niece had the kids pancake breakfast with a milkshake. Unfortunately, the chicken sausage that came with the Bear's Choice didn't impress my wife, and the "fresh fruit" turned out to be strawberries, which was an issue as she's allergic to them. The service was prompt despite the restaurant being quite busy, and the staff were efficient at resetting tables. However, they were a bit too quick, and I was missing a fork while my niece lacked a complete set of silverware. Additionally, my wife's water cup was dirty. Service was friendly but could have been more attentive; they didn't check on us after we received our food, which made us wait for assistance to get silverware. On the bright side, the food was delicious, and the restaurant's unique rustic theme with wood carvings, posts, and benches created a cozy atmosphere. However, it was a bit chilly, and there was a draft from the vent above, prompting me to put on a jacket, which others also seemed to do. A manager made the rounds to check on things, but my mouth was full, so my wife handled the conversation with them.

We have a classic and excellent lunch at the Black Bear Diner. Pot roast and a salad were the fare of the day. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable and the services was impeccable. Our server Bryan went out of his way to help us out and accommodate our gluten intolerance. Thanks Bryan for a surprise awesome lunch! You are amazing! If you are looking for a wide selection, good food, and great service hit the Black Bear. You won't be disappointed.

The food at Black Bear Diner is always great when you’re in the mood for some filling breakfast meals! The waiters and waitresses are very kind. We also got their orange juice which was about $5.90 and it’s very fresh! Only thing about it is that it was warm so we added a bit of ice in it to cool it down a bit because warm orange juice was rather strange! But great breakfast food! Haven’t gone for lunch or their dinner menu yet so can’t say much about that!

We found this cool place with a big statue of a bear out front. We decided we had to try it. It had good reviews. We ate breakfast there and ended up going back the next day. The staff is so nice. Very friendly atmosphere. They are not stingy with the food. You get a very good portion for your money compared to the other places we have eaten at. Trust me we have been eating a lot since we just moved here from NY. The potatoes are delicious with diced onions and peppers. Everything tasted very fresh. The coffee was good. Their menu was like a newspaper with many interesting facts and I learned that they have about 60 -100 restaurants around the country. (I didn't count all the locations) I'm glad to know that we will have this great diner to eat near us. I wasn't too fond of their pancakes; I think its because they use cream to make their batter. BUT I loved the everything else. I highly recommend this place. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE HUNGRY. 5 stars all around!!
