Jimmy Johns

First I'd like to say that the employees were great. No complaints about the service. The food on the other hand was not good. The bread was hard and the bottom of the bread was like a dried out sponge. We tried the roast beef, a tuna, and a turkey with ham sandwich all of which was not impressive. They are fast at what they do yes, but only because they have no options to customize your sandwich. Dry french bread, provolone cheese, with only your choose of meat. Felt like an over priced gas station sub.

I was at jimmy johns my first and last time ever. Sorry guys... just wanted a plain sandwhich, skip the lettuce and tomato, was told they only do it one way. Was on my way out the door without 4 sandwiches when another employee called me back and apologized for the attitude. Said he could make the order sans veggies. Ok great... the bad news was worst sandwich ever... bread was stale hard like an over cooked biscuit. Its really just not worth it to me. To many good places to stop without the attitude or the corporate rules or whatever it is and was... These guy are no competition for subway and especially firehouse subs. All jimmy has is delivery and i dont need that service.

Won’t pick up the phone-called several times and no one answers. This has happened several days now. Online it says their ‘open’. I go to place an order online and their online services are ‘unavailable’. 9 times out of 10 they don’t have a delivery driver. This Jimmy John’s is completely unreliable.

Came into the store to order subs for crews trying to clean up after a massive storm. Worker was on his phone at the counter when I walked in. I asked if I could order five subs and have him cut them into fourths and he said no we’re not gonna be able to do it. We’re shortstaffed and we don’t even have any drivers right now —the second Street store can help you out. Never had my money turned down like that before! Jimmy Johns I love ya, but fire that dude.

I have never experienced such poor service from a Jimmy Johns location, and I have been to lots of locations on many different occasions. Tonight I Was flipped off by an employee as I pulled away from the window in the drive thru. I can’t imagine what I did to make him upset. He took my order at the menu board and I told him thank you after he gave me the total. I then pulled up to the window and watch him take his sweet time bringing my sandwich to the window after he took my money right away. I didn’t even make a comment that he was the lack of freaky fast. After taking my order at the board, he never spoke one word to me. He just stuck out his hand for my money and then handed my sandwiches out the window a few minutes later. No “thank you” or “have a nice day”. With all of the competition and abundance of sandwiches shops, I really will not be visiting the North Dodge Jimmy Johns in Iowa City again. And if Jimmy Johns wants my business at a different location I expect a call from the owner of this franchises to discuss why my preteen daughter asked me why the worker flipped his middle finger up at me when I left.

I always expect fast and great service from Jimmy John's... But that wasn't the case here. The parking lot and drive thru were empty. Went thru the drive thru wasn't greeted. The person just said Jimmy John's. We ordered. Waited... A good bit for Jimmy John's and for there being no one there. Then no receipt and sandwiches not labeled. :( Won't be stopping here again.
