The Vistro

The owner is super nice. The produce is fresh & the food is flavorful. We got the spring rolls, all fresh produce, shrimp & marinated pork. We also got the sandwich with a 1/2 lb. of marinated beef for only $9! And the beef wasn’t some cheap, chewy steak. It was marinated, moist & not dry! The rice bowl (we got pork) was so good! The jasmine rice is perfect & fresh. I’m not sure how he turns a profit, the prices are too low in my opinion; with quality & quantity he could get a higher price. We will be returning again, this place is a hidden gem.

I’m a fan of Vietnamese food and we are fortunate to have many excellent restaurants in our area. Today a friend and I had lunch at Vistro and were highly impressed. We ordered the Pho Ga and the summer rolls (my 'test’ menu items for a new restaurant). Both were outstanding; well executed and tasty. I will be back soon with my wife.

I love The Vistro. We are lucky to have a lot of good options for Vietnamese food in Dayton--Lihn's, Little Saigon, Xuan, and Wat Da Pho are all solid, and all have dishes that they do better than their competitors. The Vistro, though--their pho and their soft rolls are *easily* the best in Dayton. My only complaint is that the location isn't fantastic, mostly because of the parking.
