Spivey's Catfish House

Food was good but overpriced. The poor waitress was trying to cover an entire half of the resturant. She did an awesome job but must mean they're short staffed, so refills ran slow and food had sat before being brought out so it wasn't very hot. Medium rare steaks were VERY rare. It was a good dinner and nice time despite, just expect more from a $30 steak dinner.

The steak was really good, but I asked for medium rare and it was still dark red (nearly raw) and there was too much char on it. The shrimp was good, but for $30 I expected to get more than a few pieces of it. The salad bar was pretty basic and you can tell the veggies were the stuff you get out of the store bags. Overall though it was a solid experience

A clean place to eat with very good seafood. We both had shrimp, one jumbo and one popcorn which was good. The hush puppies were probably the best I ever had. We had gator tail appetizers which was cooked very well but had a seasoning on them I had never tasted on gator tail before... wasn't bad but definitely different. I know everything is going up in cost but I still think over $50 is a bit much for two meals and one appetizer...with tip was well into the mid 60's...but that is why I choose to eat at home mostly now. Overall a friendly staff... good food but far to expensive for going there very often. Maybe a special outing or to take guest to.

Food was excellent service was terrible, terrible then was charged a 25% gratuity because we had 4 small children all under 6 that they added to our group size to place us in that gratuity on us. I had to go to kitchen to refill on tea myself, and ask for appetizer plates. Bought out appetizers in paper container and with no plates for them.It was ridiculously bad service but forced to pay that high gratuity, even though food was good won't return and don't recommend.

The seafood platter that you receive for 24 dollars was not worth it. They wasn't hardly anything on the plate but maybe one of each. You could move it all to one side. Half of plate be showing. This was my 2nd visit. So I don't know if it was new owners or not. But my 1st visit there was excellent and delicious.
