Friendly staff, there was no line so service was quick. Portions were good. A picture on a different review said no credit/debit but that is not the case and they did offer that option. I had a kid size sugar cone and it was still plenty of ice cream. Would visit again.

It’s a small beautiful place with amazing views of lake. There flavors are really good. I have tried the shake and it’s really delicious. You can definitely enjoy your time here. Take an order and enjoy it on side of the beach by walking along it. Truly amazing view from here.

In my opinion there's no other ice cream like the Portland malt shoppe. I love this place and return everytime I come to Duluth. Super fast service and add always excellent malts!!

Fun and cute spot to get a quick ice cream. We went when it was raining and they handed us all umbrellas to use. Sweet and kind staff.

You’ve got to love the PortLand Malt Shoppe! It’s a Duluth hot-spot! They offer hard ice cream and delicious malts and shakes. Although they aren’t inexpensive, they are absolutely heavenly! The kids working there are efficient and do their best to get you your treats as fast as possible. There’s a tiny parking lot and plenty of parking on the street nearby. Don’t forget to bring cash - no checks or credit cards accepted.
