Nice ambiance, cool Northshore Hipster staff. The crappy off campus, recycled grandma couches are a nice touch against the exposed brick walls.

Great venue. As a visiting musician I felt the engineer did a great job with overall sound and room acoustics. The bar is not large but has a 300 max occupancy. The aesthetics, decor, and overall "Vibe", is ideal for a great experience. Love the Story Tellers intimate limited seating event. Worth every penny. Bar staff are professional, fast and it's clear they love their work. Door security outside might make your tourists feel more comfortable and make more visible on the street for added street draw. I will be attending events here again.

Nice venue. Good beer selection. Bit cramped on busy night, but that's to be expected.

This was a unique bar. Never heard of it until one of my favorite bands played a local show there. There's some framed artwork on the walls and it seemed like a pretty good location for a local concert since it seemed a little larger than most bar's sizes. Had a good experience and they actually know how to make some drinks that most places never hear of.

Love this place! My favorite bar in Duluth. I've caught a lot of great shows here. The bartenders and owner are really friendly and make fantastic drinks. The ambience is really cozy and chill, great for drinks and hanging out or catching a live band. Definitely a gem!

A relaxed atmosphere with an eclectic kick. Came here while visiting Duluth. Good drinks, cool live music, and a fun mix of people. Sucked that there was a cover charge but not too expensive. HIGHLY recommend to check it out.

One of my favorite Duluth watering holes. Always an eclectic mix of interesting denizens. Great local, regional, and national music acts. Delicious signature cocktails and fine regional craft beers. The proprietor, Bob, and his friendly bartenders are some of the best people you'll meet.

A great concert venue if you like loud and crowded. Very lively scene. Some bartenders are better than others so cocktails are a bit of a mixed bag as far as quality. The Herring is within walking distance of downtown, the Lakewalk, and Fitger's so it's easy to find food or join friends at another bar. Parking is all on-street, though there is a well-lit ramp a couple blocks away.
