Red Lobster

Yesterday my family was celebrating the 19th anniversary of the adoption of our three sons who are now in their mid-to-late 20's. Viktorija was our server, and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive, lots of fun and engaging, and made our afternoon really enjoyable for all of us. One of the best servers we've had - anywhere. None of us live in the area - it was half way for each of us, coming from PA and/or VA, so sadly we won't get to visit Viktorija more often. But we wanted to recognize her because she should be applauded for her excellent service.

Worst restaurant experience. Can't give negative stars, or I would. 40 minutes with no service, not even water brought to our table. One Waiter walked by our table no less than 3 times, never acknowledged us until I stopped him. He walked by us eating a biscuit, dropping crumbs and food from his mouth. Found person I believe was the manager. She excused the neglect of service as being a 'lack of communication and shift change' and only told that particular employee that he needed to step into the back area when eating, and that she'd have someone to our table momentarily. I told her we'd waited entirely too long and our group had left to go elsewhere. She offered no apologies or anything for our wait and inconvenience. Upon leaving, I told the young man he needed to look for a different type of job, to which he barked at me, "I'm only 16. What does YOUR son do for work??" I responded that he works his rear off and what my son's job is has zero to do with this restaurant, poor service, or HIS lack of doing HIS job properly.

Used online ordering. Substituted coleslaw for my salad and received about 2 teaspoons in a cup the size of a $.50 piece. Ordered a dessert to share with my wife. Wanted to try the “new lemon cake”. Received a slice that cost $9 and was barely viable in the container. Would caution against ordering take out from this Red Lobster location.

We arrived at 430 on Sunday we were seated right away. They were not very busy at all. Our server was not very attentive. We were a large table 7 adults and 3 children so we didnt expect speedy service however we were only checked on once and had to grab her as she would walk by if we needed anything else and when we asked for refill it wasn't brought anyway nothing worse than leaving restaurant thirsty. Empty plates were not removed from appetizers not leaving much room on the table to eat. Even though our server was not on her game we still did the right thing by leaving her $60.00 cash tip on our $280.00 bill. Just expected better service and friendlier staff from a quality restaurant. We don't go out much but think after this trip it maybe while before we return.

Service was excellent loved our waitress The food was very good I haven't ever been to Red Lobster and not been satisfied with what I ordered. Of course along with every thing in these inflationary times sticker shock at some of the prices.Used to be able to eat here for under $30 a person including tips but now be prepared to spend closer to$40 each by the time you walk out the door.
