Avoid at all costs…all food came at room temperature. Chive pockets came ICY COLD inside, only the surface was warm. Food isn’t Hunan flavors at all. Main dishes are slathered in a generic sweet sticky sauce. Pickled daikon and bacon dish wasn’t seasoned properly - flavorless. At $35 per pax we expected our food to at least come hot. Sigh, bitterly disappointed.

This is very traditional food. What we ordered was good. Not large portions for the cost. Came out at random times. Fun decor

Quite real Hu-Nan cuisine, I tried two dishes, one is good, the other one slightly off from it supposed to be. The restaurant is decorated nicely, but the booth chair was not really comfortable, I'm 5'6", still felt the table is slightly high, don't know how those petite persons could sit 🤡🤡
Overall, it's a fine Chinese restaurant, I would give 3.5 stars.

You like spicy food? What about ma la (numbing spicy)? This is one of my go-to restaurants for Sichuan cuisine. I've tried about half of the dishes here, and most were delicious and pretty authentic. I especially recommend the Mapo tofu (麻婆豆腐) and fired-fried kidney flower (火爆腰花).
Service was just as you would at a Chinese restaurant. Consider bringing a Mandarin-speaking friend to get better service (or at least someone who will holler at the waiter)

Tried this place yesterday and absolutely love it. Good service and nice ambience (that are rare in Chinese restaurant). Food was great. 水煮鱼 is the best you can have in Bay Area. Ate too fast to get a shot for it.

The owners are very friendly. The chicken fried rice is great! Everything is really good and it's in an excellent location next to a karaoke bar which is owned by the same people. I've gone back and brought friends. Everyone loves Hunan Cuisine.

The food is OK if you make the right choices (see my pictures). However, be aware there could be a hidden 20% fee charge on the final bill. Pay attention!
