If you like German food, this is the place! Truly authentic German fare. The sausage sauerkraut & potato soup was delish. Others raved about the Golumpki's and Shepherd's pie. Save room for dessert, the German chocolate cake is probably not like any GCC you've had before and you better split it with someone! Our server Hunter was friendly and handled our group like a pro!

The food here is absolutely amazing. It takes me right back to München. The restaurant set-up and atmosphere is awesome. Getting to sit at nice hardwood tables in nice chairs just adds to the authentic experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a great meal worth every penny. The pork schnitzel is the best!

We had a very enjoyable meal with two appetizers, one entree, two beers and Cake for dessert. The decor of the restaurant does a lot with a little giving the feel of a German American celebration of all things Germany. The food was delicious and very well prepared, compliments to the chef! The service was excellent even though only one server was fulfilling the bar and dining for the whole restaurant. Fortunately it wasn’t too busy at 1:00 on Wednesday afternoon. Deducted one star for somewhat high prices ( >$100 including tip for two persons) and short staffing that could have been disastrous. We will definitely be back again. They have a great list of German and Michigan beers on tap.

The service and food were exceptional!!!! We stopped here on our way from the UP to Baldwin and everything was fantastic. The kiddo had a brat, I had the schnitzel with perogi on the side and a soup, husband had meatloaf. All the food was above and beyond expectations, with huge portions - we have an entire meal for tomorrow boxed from the leftovers. Our server was very fast and kind and professional. Definitely a can’t miss spot!

I loved this place. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful. The German scenery and steins decorating the walls were great to look at, and the cuckoo clocks took me back to my grandparent's kitchen. Mary's is a gem in the heart of the quaint little town of Gaylord. If you're in the area, and love German food, this place is a must visit.
