Barrio Fiesta

$3 for a water bottle, plastic utensils, paper plates, serving bowls are also paper/to-go containers, due to covid??? WOW! This is a sit-down restaurant and obviously does not feel like it. PLUS, prices are incredibly high. Spent $300 with barely anything left for to-go. Never again. I barely write any reviews but this one really made me regret that we continued to eat there and wasted our money. I should’ve gotten the point when I saw paper plates on our table. It probably would’ve been okay for us IF the serving sizes of food is decent. For this $, we would be expecting to bring home lots of left overs from other Filipino restaurants. We always eat out to Filipino restaurants to support their business, but this one is just so bad that I have to share with others.

Pre-Covid, this was a "fancy" restaurant, the kind to celebrate events at. We were there recently to celebrate our titas' birthdays. So if I compare now to what it was before, there are a few glaring differences: Styrofoam plates, plastic utensils, $3 water bottles. The costs went way up - $12 for halo halo was just too much. They closed out the other half of the restaurant- the front has a sign to use the other door, but it looks like they blocked the area inside. That part used to be the restrooms and a waiting area where they had several photos of famous Filipinos who recently visited. There would usually be a TV playing something Filipino - but it was relatively quiet inside. On the positive side, the food itself was as good as I remember it. Service was good. So you could tell they were severely impacted by the pandemic, and I really hope they can climb out the other end soon. I think I would have to hear that improvements were made before I went back.

The prices are RIDICULOUSLY HIGH for a non fancy restaurant! I’ve been to many Filipino restaurants but this place is the worst ! First thing , the prices are much higher than a fancy place , .. $3 for a soda can ???—— $3 for a very tiny rice ? $25 for a beef sinigang that are mostly all FATS and less meat , I’m not even exaggerating … and wait , with the prices way so High , you get serve with a PAPER PLATES , PLASTIC SPOON and FORKS .. I mean it would have been ok if you are a fast food , but you are suppose to be a sit down Filipino restaurant .. so never again , I’ll rather go to MAXS nearby who has a better quality , more food and much less cheaper price for a better service as well… Sorry for this review but that was my experience yesterday and will be the LAST!!!

DO NOT EAT HERE! This is a dine-in restaurant. This is not kid friendly, they do not have booster or high chair for you kids. They do not have a restroom for their customers. The serve you with plastic utensils and foam plates like you're at a family party and only serve bottled water for $3. The worst part is we ordered Sinigang and it was served in a plastic bowl. Also I don't get how they automatically add tip. This place is shameful to be serving dine-in filipino this way. One of the worst if not the worst places to eat filipino food. If you want proper dine-in filipino your best bet is Max's restaurant around the way. Better service, better food better ambience. They also won't try to rush you out while you're eating.

We loved the Chicharron with the vinegar side. The Lechon Kawali was amazing. The vinegar they served with it was mind blowingly good. It made the pork belly less heavy. Paired with Pancit Canton, Chop Suey and a bowl of white rice. Four adults were left very satisfied and with leftovers. Also their hand maid lemonade was pretty good.
