🇦🇲 ARMENIA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - The Armenian-style pizza here is not so different than those enjoyed in Iran, which also drops the marinara or any other sauce in favor of more cheese. Thankfully (sorry Persians!) they do not insist on using ranch dressing and ketchup on their pies, Sipan instead passes out a healthy amount of their homemade spicy chipotle sauce. This creamy, nutty sauce is the ultimate LA fusion and surprisingly addictive. It definitely lived up to its praise and was used to the last drop on the large chicken shawarma pizza ($15.55).

I'm just a white kid with a long-standing love of Armenian food, so take that for what you will, but this place is amazing. I just had a spinach borek and zahtar maneish, but they were both great. Really solid pastry, leagues better than what I normally get at a spot like this, and the spinach in particular was really flavorful and balanced. Service was awesome! The one person working was super nice, took my order while they were working on some other people's food, and seemed to know basically everyone else in there. All around good vibes and good food. Would recommend
