The Goody

The Goodwood hotel was full of people again. A very popular place to dine. There were 5 of us at the table. Two of us ate the ribs which were $30 each, and the others had a pulled pork burger, pizza and a rump steak The ribs were huge with heaps of meat which fell off the bones. Also was served hot crunchy chips and a beautiful fresh salad. We used the entertainment discount. 5 meals and 5 drinks with discount came to $135 We will all be back

Chose the Goody to catch up with a couple of friends for lunch. We were seeking a close to city venue with convenient parking and we chose well. The menu was broad, well priced and there were daily specials. Some dishes offered a choice of small/large portion! The staff were polite and attentive and splitting the bill three ways was handled effortlessly. The wine list offered an excellent range all at sensible prices. Pleasant upmarket decor throughout and the sizeable dining room was comfortable and not noisy. Highly recommended.

Had the worst chicken schnitzel ever - it tasted off and was clearly made of reconstituted chicken - the texture was quite slimy and the breadcrumbs were soggy. I left 95% of it - my son managed about 50%. When they took our plates away they didn't ask how our meal was - - I would have told them how bad it was had anyone bothered to enquire why I hadn't eaten it. Had to assume they already knew!!
