Ihop Simpsonville

The food was good and the service was ok. It seemed that they were slightly under staffed, since the waitress seemed a little stressed. I had to try the controversial hamburger from IHOB and it was actually very good. The burgers were served with all you can eat fries so I felt like it was a pretty good value. I cant really complain about anything except our wait for our food was a little longer than we expected.

The waitresses argued in the back as to who would take our table...we were 1 of like 4 table in the whole restaurant at the time. Waitress was super nice but took a while to approch the table. She didn't ask our drink orders til we were ready to order, didn't bring a refill til we were done with our food. Food was amazing. I got the tres leche pancakes. They were awesome. The cooks did a great job but there were a few small hair/fuzz pieces on my plate, thankfully not touching my food. So three stars for the cooks. The waitress was just lacking in service skills. The picture I attached was of the bottom of our syrup bottle that was empty, it was covered in sticky shredded napkin.

Ordered via the app for the first time, went to pick up the food... ordered the Belgian dark chocolate mousse pancakes and received 2 plain dry pancakes that had a small cup with a couple chocolate chips on the side and no mousse or anything in between. I understand it’s a short stack with the combos, but it still should have had 1 layer between. My boyfriend had the cheesecake pancakes, but we got one little tiny cup with barely a spoonful of whipped cream inside it that I guess we were supposed to split between the two of us... so I had dry cocoa pancakes that I paid $2 extra for. That’s about par for the course at this location as well. They are consistently short staffed with only one or two servers for the entire restaurant during busy times. Any time I’ve been in there the wait staff has seemed stretched extremely thin and very stressed, and when they ask for help from another employee they are talked down to it seems. Management seems to be the problem... Attempted to attach photos of my plain pancakes, photos don’t seem to be posting...

Order was messed up when it came out and instead of fixing it they just slapped some extra toppings on the pancakes. Fruit that came with meal was brown and old. No idea who our actual server was because 4 different people came to our table. Our bill did not make sense and they charged us more than the menu said our sides would cost. Normally I would give places like this the benefit of the doubt but it was not very busy. Manager was helpful and trying to pick up the slack but the rest of the staff was awful. Our waitress who brought the coffee spilled all over the table and slammed the cups, spilling even more.

I have had better from IHOP, but this so called chicken and waffles was the worst I have had in a long time. The chicken is this frozen precooked concoction. All you could taste was pepper and otherwise the chicken was flavorless. The Waffel left a lot to be desired. The waffels I make at home out of the box mix is better. The waitress was amazing but the food not so much

This is a good IHOP, unfortunately they have begun to gain a reputation for the slowness of their service. Our service today was professional, timely for the most part, and the food was great. Try to come at times when they aren't busy. My hope is that management will begin to fix the time issues in the near future.
