The Susquehanna sandwich is awesome-piled high with chicken, pepper jack & crunchy pickled vegetables on rosemary bread! $8 may seem pricey for a sandwich, however, I get two meals out of it or split it with a friend. Coworker had Riverfront Roast Beef & was happy. Pics of display cases was at 11:30 am & there were plentiful offerings to choose from. Staff is very nice. This is MUCH better option than others here in downtown Harrisburg. I special ordered a small birthday cake & it was beautiful.

Excellent bakery. They use real butter and fresh fruit. Flakey croissants , Fresh fruit tarts, french and savory foccacia breads, muffins, and gourmet cupcakes and pastries are baked daily. Reasonable prices. Their sandwiches are made on fresh breads with very fresh roastbeef, turkey, bacon etc. with real cheese,not the processed american . They offer real cheddar, swiss, smoked gouda, etc. The sandwiches are finished with fresh picked tomatoes and specialty aiolis. The sandwiches are large . You can order a half Sandwich for only 3.95. Try the focaccia. Unforgettable.

The cake Ciao! Bakery made for a Birthday/"End of Summer" party I hostessed this past weekend was outstanding! The detail on the cake was amazing and the cake (vanilla cake with lemon and raspberry filling) was delicious! I worked with Hannah on the idea for the cake . . . it was above and beyond anything I had imagined! Hannah was professional, attentive to details and very easy to work with. I picked up the cake on Saturday at Bricco; they were courteous and helpful, assisting me in getting the cake to my vehicle. I was impressed with how carefully the cake was boxed to ensure it wasn't damaged in transit. Aside from the quality of the cake and the exceptional customer service, the cake was reasonably priced . . . the entire experience with Ciao! was positive, beginning to end. The cake was the absolute hit of our get-together. I would recommend Ciao! to anyone looking to order a specialty cake and will definitely work with them again for my future cake needs.

Glad that I found this place online. Lived in the Harrisburg area for years and probably driven by this bakery many times but never noticed it. It is a very small store. VERY delicious sandwich choices all served on flavorsome fresh baked bread. Even the produce (tomatoes, onions) on the sandwich had a pleasing spicy and sweet, perfectly-ripe flavor. Coffee Cafe was a bit dry and too sweet and rich for me. Could not taste the cake as much as I could taste the sweet sugary topping and swirls running through. Coffee was alright. Plan to visit again!

Can we just take a moment to appreciate that Harrisburg has an amazing bakery like this? I went to Pittsburgh back in May and we tried looking up the best bakeries and they didn't even come close to Ciao. There's always something new and different and it makes you feel like you're walking into the Great British Bake Off every day.
