Being from Eastern Europe, a lot of these dishes hit home. I was surprised by the quality of the food, some of the freshest I've tried. Borchst was amazing, a little over with the seasoning/salt but sour cream toned it down to an enjoyable dish. Vinigret was another item I got. Usually, I'd never eat vinigret as I was never a fan favorite of it. However, this place changed that by a freshly prepared bowl of Vinigret that was really good and light. Good little snack in-between meals. Pelmeni were hand-made and very great quality (personal seal of approval on these!!) I'd definitely get them again. Saved the best for last, the napoleon cake. Absolutely blew me away! Some of the softest, moist, and overall sweetest napoleon I've tried. Super gooey with the custard inside, ended an amazing meal with an amazing dessert. Would %100 recommend this place for an amazing Eastern european experience.

My wife and I have been to Cafe Dacha several times and have always enjoyed it. Highly recommend the borscht, Cornish hen, and really just about everything they offer! Nice quiet place where you can relax and enjoy great Ukranian & other eastern European food and ambiance.

Absolutely delightful. Amazing Service, beautiful atmosphere, and truly delicious food. Enjoyed the sour cream salad (light & fresh!), and shared the lamb meatballs and cabbage rolls. Both were wonderful. My companion also had the pierogi and cherry pierogi for dessert and said both were great. Very happy find. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic Ukrainian food in a warm and cozy atmosphere. This restaurant is on a very nice property with a beautiful outdoor terrace for warmer weather and a cozy dining room inside. The service is warm and friendly and the food is delicious and comforting. Very authentic, reminds me of what I ate when I spent time living in Eastern Europe. I hope this business continues to thrive!

Food: Absolutely incredible. I can’t believe we didn’t find this place until recently. We ordered their garlic potatoes - huge helping but they were addictive so thank goodness there were a lot. Lamb meatballs (they are gamey, just how I like them) are a must have with their super light mashed potatoes. The chicken kebabs were extremely juicy! Finally, make sure you save room for their napoleon cake, which will be the best you have in the states. Completely blew us away! Service: Very friendly, made sure we had what we needed, and came at the right cadence. Also brought water out for my dog with prompting - so thoughtful! Atmosphere: On a street corner in Highland Park downtown, and we sat outside on their super cute gazebo / patio! Loved the cozy ambience. We never went inside, but with just a peek, it looks very cute too!

Really great and delicious Ukrainian cousins - holubtsi, varenyky, borscht and other. Also they have Ukrainian beer and cocktails. The personnel is very helpful and friendly. There’s a great patio for a summer party, we have enjoyed celebrating Independence Day of Ukraine 🇺🇦 there! Also, they speak Ukrainian. Definitely recommended!

Checked out this place for the first time today. Can't believe how incredible the food is and the quality of service as well. The drinks are incredible, especially the cherry infused vodka martini, And the patio is super hip and very comfortable. Free parking all around the area. We ordered the calamari, potatoes, salad, beef stroganoff, and the coleslaw. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasted delicious!
