Outback Steakhouse

I like eating here. It's a hit or miss sometimes though. Went on my birthday and the host was a tall African American she was just standing there lifeless. Like learn how to say hi, and be cheerful. Your a hostess not a zombie. Anyways, besides finding my own party seat. The waitress on the other hand was amazing. She was the opposite from the host. I will post a picture of what I ordered it was pretty damn good. coconut shrimp was yummy. And course loaded potato is bomb. Enjoyed meal and delicious ice tea.

Decided to go out of town for the day and ate lunch at this outback restaurant. I have to say I will not go back to this location. The bad- The furniture in the entry way looks badly worn out, the dinette seats are loose where we sat and the bathrooms were gross see pictures. I was a waitress myself at one point , and I know during the pandemic the workforce has decreased , but this location was staffed with enough waiters/waitresses(only reason I say this is we came in at lunch and there was about 4 other tables and there was 4 waiters/waitresses) But the service wasnt great the hostess gave my kids their menus which was activity sheets without crayons. It took 20min to get a drink order placed and at that time we asked for crayons for my kids from the waiter he said he would get some but never did.. our food took about 40min to arrive. My son ordered chicken strips it came without any kind of sauce not even ketchup so I asked for ranch and that took a bit for it to come as well. Over all the quality of the food wasn’t that great.

Not because of the food. The was good. What was so bad was the service. The waitress that attended us took forever to take our dinner orders. We had to ask some else for bread and she never bothered to look over at our table and see we needed refills ....why? Because we were waiting so long for her we got full of bread and the one and only drink she managed to bring. She passed several times by us...at least enough to check on our table. We had to ask someone else for a box and we had to also ask someone else for our ticket. My husband.had to get up and flag one of the other employees, who immediately said I am not your waiter and I cannot help you. We spent a good amount of money on this dinner. I myself observed another customer at another table stop the same waitress and ask for refills at his family 's table. They were also waiting for her to acknowledge them. At any business, employees have to be coached to work as a team. Employees have to be coached to focus on what their job assignment is If your too desperate and take a lot of tables thinking your will make more tips, you are very wrong. You start to neglect your customers because your bite is too big for you to handle. If you get just the right amount and you give that extra customer service required and expected by your clients . Your tips will be higher. They are jobs that you profit by volume and there are are jobs that a high quality of service is required by everyone as s team to succeed and profit. It is a great idea to work at s place where you love and enjoy what you are doing. It is not good to force yourself to work where you go because you are desperate and have to work without really genuinely liking what is expected of that job.

This is how a frozen Margaret comes out umm not very frozen.... Also ordered the Steak and Shrimp and asked to substitute the shrimp for steak they got confused and told me it's a 20 dollar up charge for that 🤣 and then said it would still cost more to get Steak and shrimp confused yet??? Yeah me too....
