Flame Pizzeria

I've lived like a half mile from this place for years and can't believe I waited this long to try it out. If you have good taste for pizza, or if you have ever tried to make a traditional pizza at home, you will truly appreciate this place. Owned by the chef himself who slaves away in front of that HOT wood fired oven. Try the Richie, try that 1000 layer potato appetizer thing, you will not be disappointed. The rest will take care of itself. Also they have the good high % ABV drafts i'm looking for when I want to sit down for a drink! forgot to add: MUST EAT PIZZA THERE! I've tried take-home. It does not work. Even 2 minutes in the box will ruin your pizza. It must be consumed as quickly as it was constructed for best pizza.

What a hidden gem. I have driven by this shopping center hundreds of times and never noticed Flame. A friend of mine who is a big time producer for the Food Network told me about it as one of the best places to get pizza in Los Angeles... ok, I'll check it out. Boy was he right! Amazing pizza, great appetizers, great beers on tap. This place should be way busier than it is. If you are looking for delicious pizza (reasonably priced too!) you should absolutely check this place out.

Lovely neighborhood spot with AMAZING food!! We loved everything we ate (buffalo wings, Caesar salad & The Ritchie pizza). We were treated with a slice of the almond cake and it is divine! Took an order of the 1000 layer potatoes to go - your taste buds will thank you! Interior is cozy & nicely laid out with seating. Highly recommend & I’ll be back!

A friend encouraged me to try Flame Pizzeria for the first time yesterday. So, I called and placed an order for a Richie Pizza, Lemon Garlic Chicken, Arugula salad, Thousand Layer Potatoes, and Chicken wings (with Buffalo sauce). I was told my order would be ready in 30 minutes, and they were absolutely right..... It was ready when I arrived. The staff was courteous, and friendly. I got home, the wife and I sat down and we were blown away by how delicious EVERYTHING was. We look forward to visiting this eatery again soon so we can sample other items from the menu. We are very happy our friend recommended this place to us. This place is a MUST VISIT! You will not be disappointed. I would give this review 10 stars if it were an option! "FLAME PIZZERIA IS FANTASTIC!"

Food was excellent. The Caesar salad was as good as any I've had. Fresh, crisp lettuce and a lovely dressing. Pizza was nontraditional but also very good. Nice selection of draught beers. Four, not five stars because it was a bit pricey. Response to response :) -- Fair enough. (Be thankful you're not in Santa Monica.) In any case, we'll be back. See you soon!

Love this place! Doesn't taste like any of the chain pizza joints. Pizza's are all amazing, the salads are great, and the almond dessert cake is so good. Atmosphere is also awesome. I recommend eating at the restaurant as you get the true taste of the quality of Flame. We did take out last week, and while it was still good, it's much better eating there. Will continue to come back!
