I visited Swork Coffee the other day and got a flat white. Coffee was ok, service was pretty friendly and the store/space looks low-key and cozy. They even carry beans from out-of-state roasters like Onyx and Little Wolf.
The shop has plenty of tables and seats inside. The curbside outdoor seatings are nice too but they were located at a busy intersection.

Decide to meet a friend at this coffee spot in Eagle Rock and it is clearly, most probably, the busiest and most popular coffee shop in Eagle Rock! It was busy but there is plenty of seating on the inside and the outside. I'll be on this is fantastic, exactly what you would like for a high-end coffee shop. I had a dark velvet mocha and it was perfectly not sweet and also the avocado toast which tied me over for breakfast and lunch! Definitely going to make this a frequent place to go when I need to write, catch up on a little work, or have a coaching session. Also, the staff was fantastic, polite and helpful.

An great place to sit and to have some quality time with our loved one with their quality food and snakes which they sell here.

I'm not a coffee drinker but my husband swears by their coffee!
What I love best about Swork is that the owner, Patricia, was a pioneer Eagle Rock merchant, investing in the community before it was "hot." She poured her heart & multiple talents & genius in its creation & here it is 2 decades later, still a neighborhood favorite. Thank you!!!!

Super cute place! Love the interior, love the delicious coffee. Especially appreciate the latte options that have unique flavors but still pack an espresso punch.

I got coffee from here for the first time a few weeks ago and it absolutely blew my mind so today I went in and ordered the same thing and it was pretty bad. Maybe it was just an off day or a different barista but there was something very very off about the coffee. I'm not sure if the milk was bad or the coffee itself was burnt but the drink was overwhelmingly acidic and sour. I even get extra flavoring for sweetness but I couldn't taste a hint of any creamy caramel or vanilla bean. I was in a rush and couldn't go back in so I tried to call but the phone went to voice mail. Not sure if I will ever give it a retry but I'm pretty saddened with my experience this time around.

Swork Coffee is not only a great place for good quality coffee but also for a very private backyard that is almost not seen from anywhere. One should know or accidentally notice a very narrow alley leading to a secluded area that is the best place in shade to enjoy your drink with family or close friends on a hot weather.

Holy hell. If Yelp ever adds the option for more stars I will fly back from Minnesota just to re-review and add more stars. We were staying down the road for a Dodger game and NEEDED a coffee before heading up to Napa. Swork happened to be the closest to our hotel but given the great reviews, I would have gone out of our way to find it.
We found street parking easily and were greeted right away by a longer haired barista. I’m really bummed we didn’t catch his name because he really made this experience what it was. The drink menu is extensive with unique coffee and non-coffee drinks without being overwhelming. For food they had a great variety of fresh pastries and bagels and some heartier sandwich style bagels. I knew I’d made the right choice before we even ordered.
I got the iced vanilla bean latte (heads up, there is a slight upcharge for iced v. hot drinks) and the avocado bagel while my fiancé ordered a caramel latte and coffee cake. The barista asked if we wanted regular or salted caramel - we didn’t even know that was an option and I’m not sure if it is or if it’s just his own special touch. He even poured a bit into an espresso cup so my fiancé could try it and make sure the sweet/salty ratio was right. Seriously, above and beyond. My vanilla latte was incredible, not too sweet with real vanilla bean.
The avocado bagel was the real star of the show. I was expecting a few slices of avocado but when I got it it was overflowing with honestly what felt like a whole avocado. The flavors from the fresh lettuce, tomato, everything seasoning (and is that pesto?!) complemented each other perfectly. I was only able to eat like half of it right away and had to put the other half under the seat to hopefully stay safe and cool so I could come back to it on the road.
To summarize: fresh and real ingredients, great variety, welcoming vibes, friendly service, generous with avocado. Is there anything else you could ask for?
