Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Potbelly (this one is downtown on 4th street) is more than just another lunch place; it's become one of my go-to spot hands down when I’m in the mood for a sandwich, especially their Steakhouse Beef. Their toasted sandwiches have always been a hit, and recently, they added a breakfast menu that caught me by surprise. But what makes Potbelly truly the best is the staff. They're not just friendly; they genuinely seem to care about making your visit enjoyable. Plus they’re fast at getting people in and out. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed!

I love this location and visit here about once a week. The food is good, the tea is good, the staff are *excellent*. They're always friendly, kind, and helpful. Knocked off one star because the corporate support for this location *sucks*. The loyalty program doesn't integrate well with the POS system, and so the store often cannot honor loyalty rewards, which makes things hard on the staff and customers. Also, the loyalty program shouldn't require an app download. No one wants to fill up their phone with apps that only do one thing - and in this case it's done poorly, or not at all.

Rating this five stars for their flexibility: I requested a sandwich that was a combination of two of their other sandwiches, and they happily worked with that. And they still managed to be getting things done quickly -- there was a line of maybe 8 people, but that line moved quickly. Their prices are also a little better than most of the other options in the neighborhood. (Note that getting the chips and drink is tasty and yummy ... And was about 30% of the cost, especially because I got the special lemonade.) My request was creating something vegan: I asked if they would take their "veggie melt" and replace the 3 cheeses with peppers and artichoke hearts. It was very good.
