The bakery professionals at HyVee on Whitney Way did a fantastic job on the high school graduation cake for our party. I just drew out what I wanted, and they made it - better than I even imagined. And it tasted as good as it looked! Really impressed!!!

The employees are always kind, knowledgeable, friendly, understanding, the store is clean and organized. There have been major price hikes on meat products, produce and the quality of the produce is dropping, as well as the meat because they have to keep it out longer than recommended and doesn't look so fresh. But it's the closest store to my house so I don't have a choice but to go there. Also it's hard for them to get in all of the tobacco products that they order and cat food is also been very slim pickings.

I'm sure the grocery store is a fine store but the mealtime to go was a disaster for me
I thought I would give the Hy-Vee meal time to go a try. Total disaster. Ordered 12 fried Chicken but had to accept 3 baked chicken breast instead and they were dry. Order the spring rolls which come with six and I only received four. I also ordered the tempura shrimp roll and it was not available. I however do have a charge pending on my credit card for the full amount. Very disappointed. Will never order mealtime to go again.
The Chinese entrees and rice was good though. Yes they forgot the fortune cookie.

I'm a big fan of Hy-Vee. Their delivery service program is a no brainer if you have a busy family schedule. Once in a while you'll get a substitution that might be questionable but never costly. The store itself is always clean and well stocked with fresh produce. They carry all the brands that I like and have great store brand alternatives to save money. I have always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. They also have great options if you just want to grab a quick lunch or dinner for yourself of the family.

Lovely food for a great price. If you're looking to have a complete meal for less than $10. The Chinese food there is really affordable and nice. They also have lots of vegan options too for those interested. One of the best side of Madison is Hyvee

All of the hyvee stores have supply issues, they have something online but it's not on the shelves. They don't have the same brands all the time AND you might shop at one store and think that they're the same, but you'd be sadly mistaken.
The best times to shop would probably by 11am when they're stocking items. Another thing is they show discontinued items so beware otherwise the store and its restrooms are always clean with pleasant staff always willing to help you!

Frequently frustrating. I've experienced combative staff, bike racks full of kitsch steel ornamental decoration, and thoughtless employees coming in to work cutting me off on my way in, and out.
Liquor store checkout is the way to go, and the staff there is always more personable and nice.
